For freeride skiers and snowboarders, safety is everything. An important aspect of safety is the local avalanche bulletin, which can often be quite hard to find. At wePowder, I tried to solve that problem by offering an online search engine for avalanche bulletins. Just typing a location would be enough to present the local avalanche bulletin to the user.

I was responsible for the concept, design and development of the service, that focused on simplicity and accessibility. I used regional avalanche data from the wePowder platform in combination with a range of geocoding services to deliver the best results based on natural language input. The full screen backgrounds offered a great way to immersively brand the service.
