PoederAlarm was a branded SMS service built on top of the wePowder platform. It was developed in collaboration with Quiksilver and CM.

Thinking beyond the smartphone and high international roaming costs, we wanted to build an SMS-service that delivered powder alerts as they were published online and offered on-demand snow-conditions for about 300 resorts in Europe and North America. Through an SMS gateway of CM, we used our platform to send out both free and premium text messages. The process was fully automated and did not affect our editorial workflow in any way.

During my time at wePowder, I was responsible for the concept, design and implementation of the service.
