Salomon Powfinder is a native mobile application for Android and iPhone, built on top of the wePowder platform. It was developed in collaboration with Salomon Freeski and Frismedia.

Aimed at freeride skiers and snowboarders that are always on the move, looking for the best snow conditions, we wanted to develop a mobile solution that would connect them to wePowder on the go. The application enables users to check the latest powder forecast, get local information in real time, post snow reports and connect with local riders wherever they are. The application was received very well and ranks among the highest branded applications of its kind in both iTunes and the Google Play store. After an initial launch in Europe with the first version of our iOS application, we continued development and built an Android version as well. Both were to be rolled out in North America just a year later.

As the technology lead I was responsible for product development and on time, on budget delivery of all applications and updates. This included drafting up functional requirements and specifications, hands-on backend development on our platform’s API and overall quality assurance. Also, I oversaw the frontend development done by a small external development team.
